New Deadpool Post-Credit Scene Debuts with Japanese X-Men Trailer

[ad_1]

Some fans were disappointed in the X-Men: Apocalypse post-credit scene, which sets up Weapon X, the supposed title of Wolverine 3. A Japanese trailer for the movie is attempting to make up for that with it’s own post-credit scene. And this one is pretty exciting because it features Ryan Reynolds suited back up as Deadpool. And 20th Century Fox must have known it was going to find its way in the States, as it’s entirely in English. Why does a trailer have a post-credit scene? Wade Wilson hilariously skewers Fox superhero movies saying this.

“Oh, hi, Japan. Deadpool here! Surprised? I just wanted to share with you my two cents on 5 things you might have missed in the X-Men Apocalypse trailer. I know what you are thinking. ‘An after-credits scene for a trailer? I thought they only did that for movies, right?’ Well, (Laughs) not everyone makes it to the end of Fox movies. Now we’re doing it after the trailer.’

Deadpool goes onto provide some unique commentary for the trailer that unspools in front of this latest bit of viral marketing fun from Wade Wilson. He does go onto give his own list of five things that you need to know about X-men: Apocalypse, which has already arrived in the states. Deadpool pokes a lot of fun at the movie and various aspects of the storyline. Though, this was obviously filmed before the movie was released, so we don’t get any colorful commentary on the movie’s lukewarm reception at the box office. Deadpool goes onto count down the footage.

“Number One. The movie is set in the 80s, and apparently Apocalypse kicks Professor X’s ass for forgetting to wake him up before he Go-Go. Number Two. Major plot twist. Quicksilver discloses to Mystique that Magneto is his father. And he’s a fan of Canadian supergroup Rush. So many plot twists. #3 fun fact, Psylocke is a hot looking girl using a super-powered Katana. I’m a horrible looking man using a Katana. Twinsies. Number 4. Looks like they are introducing a Japanese mutant with Ginsu knives coming out of his hands. Let’s see how that goes. Number Five. This wasn’t really in the trailer. But it’s important for you to know. The new addition to the super dysfunctional X-men family, me, Deadpool, comes out in Japan on June 1. I’ve definitely never felt power like this before. So be there. Ding”

Deadpool is already available on Blu-ray, DVD and VOD in the States. It will be awhile before we get Deadpool 2, which begins shooting in the first half of 2017. It’s assumed that the sequel will arrive in 2018, but Fox has not given the sequel a proper release date yet. While we await that news, at least we get to see Ryan Reynolds return as the character here for a few fun minutes.
