*Home Alone* Then and Now: Kevin's Sister Is Now an Olympic Athlete

[ad_1]

Home Alone is perhaps the most beloved holiday movie of all time. There’s something about Macaulay Culkin’s cherub face and his family’s ’90s-as-hell clothing that just brings us back, you know? Admit it: Watching the first film made you secretly hope your parents would forget to bring you on a family trip, leaving you alone to feast on junk food and watch age-inappropriate films. We all were Kevin McCallister at six years old, to be honest.

Home Alone made us wish for giant families, too. If you remember, a big reason why Kevin’s parents forgot him was because they were juggling so many other children—four siblings and a slew of assorted cousins, to be exact. Our ’90s and holiday-loving hearts got us thinking about where these crazy kids are now. Of course, we know what happened to Culkin, but what about the others?

The peeps over at HelloGiggles clearly wondered this, too, so they did some sleuthing. They were able to track down the whereabouts of Hillary Wolf, who played Megan McCallister, and you won’t believe what she’s up to today: She became a—wait for it—judo Olympic champion. Yup.

Before we dive in, let’s refresh your memory. This is what Wolf looked like in Home Alone:

And here she is now:

So, how did this queen go from Home Alone to Olympic slay? Wolf told NBC that she started practicing judo at seven years old, and her skills improved so much that she actually competed in the Olympics twice: in 1996 and 2000. Peep a photo from her stint at the 2000 Olympic Games, below:

But this level of competing seems to be behind Wolf. She now manages the Rocky Mountain Wrestling Club in Colorado with her husband, Chris Saba, who also competed in the Olympics.

Don’t think Wolf scoffs at her Home Alone years, though. She told NBC that she actually has fond memories making the film.

“I mean it was like a group of kids all together,” Wolf said. “[We] would go hang out…and we’d be with Macaulay and all the other kids and Macaulay’s security guard. It doesn’t matter what year it is, every little kid loves to see a little kid beating up these burglars. It’s hilarious.”

All the nostalgic feels!
