On Sunday, Kylie Jenner announced that 1) she had, in fact, been pregnant, and 2) that she had given birth to a baby girl on February 1. Although she apologized for not keeping her fans in the loop—which, honestly, she had every right to experience the pregnancy the way that she chose—she did gift us with an 11-minute short film that takes us along through her pregnancy and her relationship with her baby’s dad, Travis Scott. It also gives us a little surprise at the end: our first look at half-sister Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s, newest arrival, Chicago West.
At that point, the baby hadn’t officially been named: You can hear Kylie’s BFF Jordyn Woods asking what Kim and Kanye would name their daughter, who arrived January 15.
“I think we’re gonna go with Chicago,” Kardashian West says. It’s a nod to Kanye West’s Midwestern hometown.
“I love Chicago,” Jenner adds.

“I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions,” Jenner wrote in her original post announcing her birth. “I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. my pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself i needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way i knew how. there was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal i had planned. I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness. Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience I’ve had in my entire life and I’m actually going to miss it. I appreciate my friends and especially my family for helping me make this special moment as private as we could. my beautiful and healthy baby girl arrived February 1st and i just couldn’t wait to share this blessing. I’ve never felt love and happiness life like this I could burst! Thank you for understanding.”
