Yolanda Hadid Lashes Out After Reading Negative Comments About Her Daughter

Yolanda Hadid is very protective of her children, including Gigi Hadid, who is now a worldwide supermodel. Yolanda has often responded to comments about Gigi and it sounds like she’s ready to fight back when things get a bit too heated in the modeling world. And when Hadid learned that someone had said something about Gigi, she used social media to share her thoughts. According to a new report, Yolanda Hadid is now lashing out at Stephanie Seymour. 

“It’s sad to see some of these beautiful semi-retired supermodels, who are mothers themselves now, feel the need to publicly put down someone else’s daughter,” Yolanda Hadid revealed in response to a comment that Stephanie Seymour said about the new supermodels of the world, including Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner.

She went on to say that Gigi is the total package as a supermodel with her “height, great looks, hard work and [she is] a good role model for other young models,” according to Bravo. TMZ also reported that Yolanda said Stephanie should instead focus on “leaving a positive legacy and be supportive of the new generation.” 

Stephanie had originally said that supermodels were a thing of the past and that Gigi and Kendal need to come up with their own labels.

“Supermodels are sort of the thing of the past. They deserve their own title. [Kendall and Gigi] are beautiful girls, and I support all of them, but they need their own title,” Stephanie had said,  suggesting that “bitches of the moment” would be “a good title for them.”

After reading Yolanda Foster’s comments, Stephanie decided to share her reply on social media.

“I don’t usually address rumors, but since feelings have been hurt I would like to set the story straight. At an event last week I was jokingly asked if the “era of supermodels” was over, what should we call the new great “it” girls?? There were no names mentioned, and NO ill intent involved. A supermodel is a supermodel. I respect and admire all these women in my industry, in particular Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. Having been in the business over 20 years I know how hard these women work. Bravo to both Gigi and Kendall for their success!!” she revealed as a follow-up comment after learning about Yolanda’s rebuttal, as she tried to protect her daughter Gigi.
