Long-Missing Marvel Favorite to Return in Infinity War After All?

[ad_1]

This is definitely a spoiler for Avengers: Infinity War, so heed the warning and stop reading right now. We’re giving you a few more words and letters to vacate the premises. Otherwise you’re not allowed to cry. Got it? Good. Okay, let’s continue this charade like you really bailed out. We know you didn’t. You’re still there. Oh, well. Here it goes.

Infinity War is the beginning of the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it and there’s going to be a ton of surprises mixed in with the action. One of those surprises may be the inclusion of Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury as evidenced by the credits for Infinity War appearing online. The absence of Nick Fury from the promotional campaign has not been talked about as much since hardcore Marvel fans seem to be focusing on Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye.

IMDb currently has most of the credits posted for Infinity War with notable exceptions. Samuel L. Jackson’s name is not mentioned in the cast at all, but he is later on. Jake Garber is listed as a “makeup artist for Samuel L. Jackson” and Qualen Bradley is credited as “stand in: Samuel L. Jackson.” These two credits seemingly confirm that Nick Fury is coming back to the MCU after numerous rumors. Jackson will be in the still untitled Avengers 4 and will also be in the forthcoming Captain Marvel.

Also listed in the credits section is Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, so fans should probably stop eating Infinity War posters and getting Hawkeye tattoos. Peter Dinklage is also listed, but the character that he’s playing is not listed. However, many believed that he would be voicing one of the Black Order, which still could be true, but he was spotted with orange hair at an airport in Atlanta and one would imagine that you don’t need orange hair to do voiceover work. Plus, the voices of Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian have been revealed to be Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and Terry Notary, respectively. Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight do not have any voice actors listed.

Nick Fury has not been in any of the Infinity War trailers along with Hawkeye and Ant-Man, leading many to wonder about how big their parts will be in the upcoming movie. It’s been reported that Samuel L. Jackson will have a larger role in Avengers 4, so we might only see a little bit of him in a few weeks. As far as Ant-Man and Hawkeye, there have been a few different rumors. One suggests that they’ll be setting up Avengers 4 and another rumor has the duo playing a much larger role than anyone is expecting. Nothing has been officially confirmed, so let the speculation continue.

Marvel’s Infinity War is set up to be an epic success at the box office and could go on to become the highest grossing debut of all time. The scale of the movie and the culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are unparalleled and unprecedented, which makes the stakes even higher for the superhero movie. Let the speculation begin as to where Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury will pop up in Infinity War… Check out the credits for Infinity War over at IMDb.
