Chrissy Teigen Threw the Best '60s Pan Am–Themed Birthday Party Last Night

Chrissy Teigen has a lot to celebrate these days. Her second cookbook, Cravings 2, is nearly finished; she just got some killer new bangs; oh, and she and husband John Legend are expecting their second child. With all this excitement in the air, it’s no surprise Teigen decided to throw a huge, lavish party in honor of her thirty-second birthday Thursday night (November 30). What might be surprising, though, was the party’s theme: Pan Am, the now defunct airline that had its heyday in the 1960s.

And she committed to this aesthetic. Based on the Instagram Story posts Teigen and Legend uploaded, it looks like she actually built a mock airplane and airport for her and her guests to party on. Everyone was decked out in classic sixties garb—big hair, pencil skirts—and (fake!) cigarettes kept popping up throughout the night. Remember, this was before people realized it was a big no-no to smoke on planes. Can you imagine?

We don’t really have to, because Teigen’s party painted that world for us. And of course her guest list was stacked with A-list names: Both Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner were there, along with Pretty Little Liars fave Shay Mitchell.
