The Internet can’t get enough of the royal babies (I mean, have you seen those pictures of the mini-Prince and Princess at Pippa Middleton’s wedding?!). And, well, it looks like Kate Middleton can’t, either.
According to The Sun, when the royal couple landed in Warsaw, Poland on Monday with George and Charlotte in tow, a Polish fan handed them a toy meant for a newborn. In her typical, well-mannered fashion, Middleton laughed it off and joked, “We will just have to have more babies,” a correspondent from the The Daily Mirror shared on Twitter.
Julia Sielicka-Jastrzebska, who’s in charge of the firm that made the stuffed bear Kate was gifted with, notes that she made her comment after learning it was designed to help comfort newborns by imitating sounds from a mother’s womb, The Sun reports.
The royal family, who’s currently on a five-day tour of Poland, spent the day at the Warsaw Rising Museum, paying their respects to the Poles who died during the Nazi occupation and at a startup center called The Heart. This is the second time they’ve traveled as a foursome, having paid a royal visit to Canada in the fall of 2016.
While Kate’s statement was probably just a joke to break the tension during what could have been a potentially awkward moment, the Internet can’t help but dream there will be an another adorable royal baby to “ooh” and “aah” over in the future. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who wed at London’s famed Westminster Abbey in 2011, welcomed 4-year-old George in 2013 and 2-year-old Charlotte in 2015. So it’s anyone’s guess on when (and, realistically, if) baby No. 3 would make an appearance. They did just add a massive extension to their home, though, which sounds like the perfect place for a nursery. Just saying.
