Selena Gomez and The Weeknd don’t talk much about their relationship, but they aren’t afraid to show their love in other ways—like wearing tour merch, eating full cheesecakes, and taking opulent photographs at the Met Gala together (see above). But the couple’s latest public display of affection is by far their best. No, no, they didn’t go to Olive Garden again. They did something even better: freak out over each other’s accomplishments.
It all started last week, when The Weeknd appeared on the cover of Forbes‘ Celebrity 100 issue (which reveals the 100 most powerful A-listers in Hollywood). It’s a huge honor to land this cover, and Gomez praised her boyfriend by posting a photo of it to her Instagram Stories. Listen, when your bae is getting paid, you want the whole world to know.

And The Weeknd responded to Gomez’s shout-out with a little bragging of his own. The first shots of Gomez’s new campaign with Coach hit the Internet earlier this week—and The Weeknd congratulated her by posting his favorite picture to his Instagram Stories, along with some diamond emojis. All the shine happening right now between Gomez and The Weeknd is hurting my eyes, to be honest.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest earlier this month, Gomez explained why she isn’t hiding her new relationship with The Weeknd on social media. “It’s really hard when I would want to spend so much time hiding things,” the singer said. “It’s too much pressure, and I think everyone gets over everything eventually. I just want to be happy. If that’s me just being myself, then I don’t really care.”
Seacrest confirmed Gomez was referring to her new BF by saying, “Obviously she’s referring to The Weeknd,” to which she responded, “Abel…that’s so weird.” (Abel Tesfaye is The Weeknd’s real name.)
Being a power couple looks like so much fun.
