You’ll Never Be As Happy As This Toddler Trapped In A Locked Car

Sit down young one and prepare to hear the tale of the world’s bravest and maybe stupidest baby.

This 14-month-old looks like he’s having the time of his life. You’re probably asking yourself, what’s this baby so happy about? Did he pet a corgi? Did he see a duck? Did he briefly think about a choo-choo train? The answer to all three of those questions is no.

Though there could be a duck just out of frame.

This photo was taken while baby Brandon Green was locked in a car as three firefighters from the United Kingdom’s Bude Community Fire Station desperately tried to free him. Now, for those of you that think this baby owns this car and is capable of driving, I’m going to have to stop you right there. This is Brandon’s mother Kirsty’s auto. In a move that is ninety nine-percent accident and maybe one-percent adorable child neglect, Brandon’s mother placed her child in the driver’s seat of her car while loading groceries into the trunk and the little idiot locked himself in.

“He’d been in the little child seat of the shopping trolley but it didn’t have any straps, so he kept trying to stand up while I was shopping.” Kirsty said. She continued, “I decided to put him in the back of the car while I was unloading the shopping so he didn’t keep trying to stand up in the trolley.”

Unfortunately, when Kirsty locked her trunk, she realized that she’d locked her car keys in with her groceries. Normally, she could have popped the trunk from the driver’s side of her auto, but before she could do that, little baby Brandon locked the door.

After phoning the authorities, the firemen got to work freeing the baby from his joy-inducing prison. The whole ordeal ended when the firefighter’s smashed out one of Kirsty’s car windows after Brandon put a small coin in his mouth. Don’t worry, he survived unharmed.

Proof.

Is there a lesson to be learn from this whole situation? No. There is not.
