Instagram didn’t become popular until I was in college, and back then it was basically “Facebook without the bullshit” – people sharing photos of themselves, their life, family, pets, whatever. It was like getting stuck at your Auntie Dot’s house for Thanksgiving and having to sit through her flaccid tour of the Family Photo Albums™, except these pictures were of your friends and yet you still couldn’t hold back a yawn.
But now it’s 2017, which means Instagram is full of wannabe models, “fitness” gurus who spend hours trying to find the right angle for their next photo and any average idiot with an iPhone. Nothing good has ever come out of Instagram, but occasionally, occasionally, we get a story that’s worth reposting — today’s involves Yulia Agranovych, a Russian woman who discovered through Instagram that her husband, Nazar Grynko…
What a soon-to-be-unhappy couple!
…was cheating on her with another woman, Vlada Abramovich.
It all started like any other day in Russia…
…as Yulia was mindlessly skimming through Instagram to get her morning ritual started:
‘Like any other person in the 21st century I began my day browsing through my Instagram timeline, and suddenly I saw this photograph.
‘It turned out that this woman and I have a large number of the same subscribers.
‘Having visited her account, I found many other interesting photographs, including those of my husband.’
Channeling her inner shade demon, Yulia commented “Beautiful view from my husband’s bedroom” on one of Vlada’s photos…
…then confronted her husband, who not only denied that anything was going on but said that Vlada was the girlfriend of one of his friends, and that he had both of them over when Yulia wasn’t home before going out for a movie. Not so easily fooled, Yulia retorted that “They would have headed to the kitchen to drink tea – not to the bedroom.”
Realizing this was one battle he wasn’t going to win, Nazar admitted to having multiple “lovers” while Yulia was out of town, however he claimed that “he was never mentally unfaithful” and that he “told every girl he was married.”
Vlada, in all her homewrecking glory.
Unfortunately for Nazar, that claim went up in flames after Yulia began contacting the other women:
‘The other girls were much more pleasant, one even crying on the phone to me, saying she had no idea he was married. So he was successful in his sorcery, ‘ she said.
Many women supported me, posting that they were proud of my bravery, that I openly discussed it with irony and sarcasm, so now they are ready to get rid of their unfaithful men too.’
Yulia is currently in the process of divorcing Nazar.
As for Vlada, her account is now private, however she’s since openly admitted to sleeping with Yulia’s husband:
‘She is his wife, not mine, what’s the problem? Is he just a vegetable without free will? Don’t make me laugh. If I want to have sex, I’ll have it.’
What words of wisdom — call me when they get inscribed on a plaque.
