Taylor Swift Had the Best Reaction to Her Onstage Set Malfunction

Taylor Swift is known for going all out on her stadium tours: insanely coordinated backup dancers, lighting effects, grandiose sets, and multiple costume changes.

Much was the same on Saturday night’s stop of her Reputation tour. Unfortunately, the night hit a little snag when, while singing “Delicate,” ascended to the stadium skies in a big sparkly basket…that promptly got stuck. Luckily, the singer is a bit of a pro at shaking it off (sorry), and played it very cool while the situation was sorted out.

Fans awaiting the moment during which T.Swift would float out into the audience to gaze upon her Swifties caught the incident on video. “I’m pretty sure I’m stuck up here,” the singer says at one point over the song’s backing vocals. “It’s a nice view though.”

She also runs through quite a few facial expressions upon realizing the predicament she was in.

Of course, tech was doing the most to get Swift back on the ground. To do that, however, they had to communicate with the stuck singer, which meant that the whole audience got to tune in.

“So basically, I’m just chillin’ waiting to figure out what happens next,” she says, having successfully arrived back on firm ground—but she quickly needed to get over to B stage.

So, everyone got a special a capella performance of “Our Song,” thanks to some help from the audience.

For the record, it was meant to look something like this:

To be honest, Swift did handle it like a pro. It’s safe to say that if we ever found ourselves suspended dozens of feet in the air in a sparkly swinging basket, we might not handle it as well.
