Hello darkness, my old friend, I’ve come to tweet with you again. And now it’s much more convenient because Twitter for Android just got a nifty new dark color scheme for late night tweeting.
Welcome to Night Mode. It’s just a dark color scheme for the app so that your screen isn’t too bright when you’re tweeting in the wee small hours of the morning, but I’m very pro-dark color schemes and every app should have one. I love to sit in the dark and tweet. [Twitter]
- In other news, Twitter also added more users than expected, according to their latest earnings report. Wall Street analysts had estimated they would gain about 2 million users in Q2, but they actually gained 3 million. Good for you, Twitter, you’re fine! [CNBC]
- T-Mobile is adding 16 new video providers to their Binge On service today. The new partners that you can watch without impacting your data plan include ABC, Apple Music, Disney, Nat Geo TV, and more. That brings the number of Binge On partners to over 100. [Business Wire]

An error is breaking the remote control functionality of some thermostats and smoke detectors, though they should otherwise continue to function according to set schedules and manual adjustments. Not a huge deal, but not great during a heat wave, either. The future, folks! Oh brother! [TechBuffalo via The Verge]
- Adobe just released a version of their photo-editing software Lightroom for Apple TV. Okay then. It’s actually just a way to look at your Creative Cloud photo library on your television screen. [Adobe]
