Kylie Jenner’s kept a relatively low profile since welcoming baby Stormi in February. Yes, she’s been active on Instagram, but she hasn’t made any formal public appearances: no talk shows, no red carpet appearances, no nothing. She hasn’t even popped up on one of her sister’s apps, which is bizarre seeing as how they’re always promoting each other.
But that changed this evening at the 2018 Met Gala, where Kylie made a return to the spotlight with boyfriend (and father to Stormi) Travis Scott in tow. The two didn’t exactly follow the evening’s theme (“Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”), but they looked cool nonetheless—each rocking all-black ensembles. Kylie paired her sleek monochromatic gown with a pair of opaque platinum sunglasses, which begs the question: How did she see with those things on? Does she need a refresher on how sunglasses function? Is she just trying to block out the haters? Or the photographers’ flashbulbs? Either way, I’m simultaneously concerned and mystified.
Check out a few pics of the couple together on the carpet, below:
Travis: You’re amazing.
Kylie: Aww, thanks. I think I’m amazing, too.
Look at Kris Jenner snapping a photo of these two like they’re at their senior prom or some nonsense. She’s a cool mom, guys!
Pose like you just invested billions into Kylie Lip Kits.
Kylie and Travis welcomed Stormi on February 1, and Kylie made the announcement three days later. “Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience I’ve had in my entire life and I’m actually going to miss it,” she wrote on Instagram. “I appreciate my friends and especially my family for helping me make this special moment as private as we could. my beautiful and healthy baby girl arrived February 1st and i just couldn’t wait to share this blessing.”
