Inside the Rogue One World Premiere with Photos & Videos

Last night, the world converged on the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, California for the world premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Lucasfilm and Disney brought out the big guns, putting a real life-sized X-Wing in the middle of Hollywood Blvd. as they closed-off the street for the big event. For those unable to attend the party, we have video from everything that happened, including interviews with the cast and crew behind the first ever Star Wars spin-off.

On Saturday, December 10, Verizon brought the best of the digital world to Star Wars fans by sponsoring a live stream of the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story World Premiere. The cast, headlined by Diego Luna and Felicity Jones, along with the filmmakers, gathered for a live stream that provided fans with an insider’s view of the red carpet. Now, we have more from the event, along with plenty of photos from the night as it played out. The movie brought plenty of applause, especially with its rousing final moments that had those in attendance on their feet.

After everything was done, the cast, crew and audience all stormed the Avalon nightclub in Hollywood, where Darth Vader was waiting for photo ops alongside his new Death Troopers. There was plenty of food and music to partake in, as the Stormtroopers danced the night away.

Nissan sponsored of the world premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Select talent arrived in 2017 Nissan Rogue vehicles as the event got underway. Two other Nissan Rogue vehicles were put on display down the red carpet, including the 2017 Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition vehicle. Premiere guests enjoyed a stunning presentation of the film in Dolby Vision laser projection and Dolby Atmos moving audio provided by Dolby at the Pantages Theatre. Gillette, a world premiere sponsor of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, helped cast members and filmmakers tell their story by inviting them to stop by its video booth for one last look. Rogue One cast and crew members such as Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen, along with director Gareth Edwards, producers Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel, executive producers John Knoll and Jason McGatlin and composer Michael Giacchino were all there to have fun. Special guests also included J.J. Abrams, Elizabeth Banks, Mayim Bialik, Donald Faison, Nathan Fillion, Topher Grace, Seth Green, Moby, Chris Hardwick, Laurie Hernandez, Simon Kinberg, Jaime King, Rachael Leigh Cook, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, Ewan McGregor, Breckin Meyer, Rene Russo, Ty Simpkins, Kevin Smith, Milo Ventimiglia, Wil Wheaton, Rainn Wilson, Steve Yedlin, Micah Fowler, Kyla Kenedy, Ariel Winter, Miles Brown, Carly Hughes and Marcus Scribner.

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.
