First Look at New Pinhead in Hellraiser: Judgment

Next year will mark the 30th Anniversary of the original Hellraiser, director Clive Barker’s scary classic that is still beloved by horror fans to this date. Nine sequels were spawned off of this original classic, but the franchise hasn’t seen its best days, with the last installment, Hellraiser: Revelations, going straight to DVD in 2011, believed to be shot only so The Weinstein Company could keep the rights to the name. Next year, the series will scream back to life once again with Hellraiser: Judgment. Today we have a new photo from this thriller, featuring Pinhead (Paul T. Taylor) and the new villain known as The Auditor.

Bloody-Disgusting has this first look at The Auditor, although we don’t know who is playing this character quite yet. The Auditor was described in a casting call as “the accountant from hell,” who comes to Earth to study a persons sins, “before passing them on to the Assessor for judgment.” The site reveals that The Auditor is not a Cenobite, neither are other characters known as the Butcher, Cleaners, Surgeon, or Jury. This report reveals that the only Cenobites in this sequel are Pinhead, Chatterer and the Stitch Twins.

The story centers on detectives Sean and David Carter, who are on the case to find a gruesome serial killer terrorizing the city. Joining forces with Detective Christine Egerton, they dig deeper into a spiraling maze of horror that may not be of this world. Could the Judgment awaiting the killer’s victims also be waiting for Sean?

The cast includes Heather Langenkamp, Damon Carney, Randy Wayne, Alexandra Harris, John Gulager, Mike J. Regan, Diane Ayala Goldner, Andi Powers, Jeff Fenter, Helena Grace Donald and Grace Montie. Back in February, the original Pinhead, Doug Bradley, issued a lengthy statement about why he wasn’t involved in this movie, revealing that writer-director Gary J. Tunnicliffe, who served as the special makeup designer on several of the original Hellraiser movies, asked the actor to sign a three-page non-disclosure agreement, which the actor wouldn’t do.

Post-production is currently under way on the latest installment in this Hellraiser series, and it isn’t known when a release date may be set. Given that neither Clive Barker nor Doug Bradley will be involved, it remains to be seen if the hardcore fans of this franchise will embrace this new movie without the horror icons being involved in the production. While we wait for more on Hellraiser: Judgment, which is currently in post-production, take a look at this new photo below.
