Gerrit is four years old and he suffers from an extremely rare gene defect, Microcephalic osteodysplastic primordial dwarfism (MOPD) type 1.

The genetic condition severely affects a child’s development and health. Currently 10 children worldwide live with this gene defect.
After being hospitalized for four weeks at HSK in Wiesbaden, Germany, Gerrit has started to show signs of improvement.
His doctor promised to dance for him as soon as he was feeling better — and he delivered.
