Breather Finds Affordable Spaces for Events, or to Work or Co-Work for a Day

If you need a meeting room, conference hall, photo studio, or other venue for an event or meeting with someone you’d like to impress, Breather can help. The service is kind of an AirBnb for professional and coworking spaces, complete with listings and tools to help you book.

The spaces will range in price based on where you are, but right now Breather has listings in 10 major cities including New York, Washington DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, Toronto, Montreal, and more. The only city outside of North America Breather currently supports is London. Once you choose a city, select the type of event you need the space for (you can choose from options like presentations, team offsites, photo shoots, private phone calls, individual work, or even therapy and consultation sessions,) and then the date you’ll need it for. You’ll see options in your selected city that work for the type of activity you need, and you can click any of them to see more photos, read about the venue, or just book a time to reserve it.

When I looked for spaces in the New York area, I found some relatively expensive per-hour prices, which makes sense if you just need the space for a meeting, conference, or a few hours for a shoot or event. When I switched out to another city, I found some more reasonable per-hour pricing, so your mileage will vary depending on what’s available and where you’re looking.

The service has a 24/7 customer support team to answer questions or resolve issues, which is great to see, and full-day prices if you need a space for the entire day’s events. Of course, if you’re looking for a coworking space, this might be a bit pricy for you (besides, there are other options for that), but if you need more than what your local coworking space offers, it’s worth a look.
